Psychology Today
I believe everyone has a rich inner life and we all can benefit from speaking with an objective professional from time to time. I became a mental health professional because I want to help my patients pursue emotional health and well-being.
I bring an empathetic approach to our work together. We collaborate on how to approach your mental wellness journey. Together, we'll work to understand your negative thoughts better and you'll develop coping strategies. We'll be focused on helping you identify and achieve your goals.
I'm practicing through Vita Health. Our mental health practice includes online psychiatry, mental health therapy, and care for patients who have suicidal thoughts and behaviors. I’m licensed to see patients in New York. I specialize in working with people who have faced emotional abuse.
Psychology on the past
I have over 16 years experience with people who suffer from a variety of mental health concerns from depression and anxiety to severe mental illness for children and adults and families. I graduated with a masters degree in 2007 from Yeshiva University Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and obtained my state license for Mental Health Counseling LMHC in 2010. I have worked in many mental health programs including psychotherapy clinics, multidisciplinary mobile mental health treatment team called an ACT team for six years.
I also worked with the NYC school system working with school aged children for many years helping children to provide them mental health support in their schools or homes. Prior to offering psychotherapy at Vita, I worked as a childhood, adolescent and adult mental health consultant for the Administration for Children's Services for NYC.
I find it challenging, meaningful and rewarding offering psychotherapy to young people and making a difference in the lives of my clients. You can expect experience and an empathetic approach where we work together to explore what works best to improve your mental health together.
