Amy Jones, LCSW

Licensed in: New York
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Years of Experience: 13+ years

I became a social worker because I am passionate about social justice and helping others. My uncle, who was my best friend and mentor, was a clinical psychologist, and when I went to college, I fell in love with the curriculum.

I firmly believe that mental wellness is just as important as physical health. Our mental health impacts every aspect of our lives including our bodies, minds, behaviors, and how we cope with challenges.

Each treatment plan I create is individualized and will be tailored specifically to your needs and goals. My eclectic approach to therapy allows me to offer a variety of techniques, helping you to feel supported and safe to explore your emotions, and make the changes you want to see in your lives.

My Priority When Working With Patients

I focus on safety first. Then we examine the patient’s mental health as a whole, including any contributing factors. We’ll build coping skills to decrease and manage symptoms — while exploring ways to mitigate those contributing factors.
