This month, we celebrate Lauren Petrocelli, one of Vita Health’s licensed clinical social workers known for her compassionate approach to therapy, eagerness to learn, and her ability to foster meaningful connections with clients.
Jessica Richardson, Lauren’s clinical supervisor, shared:
“Lauren is an extremely caring, thoughtful clinician dedicated to providing excellent care. She is a valued contributor to suicide case consultation meetings and helps others learn through her willingness to ask questions and share. She has a positive attitude and demonstrates genuine care for clients. Her completed session rate and productivity speak for themselves—her patients show up because she provides them excellent care and support. It is a pleasure to work with Lauren.”
One of the skills Lauren brings to the team is her expertise in trauma-informed care, which she incorporates into all aspects of her practice. She also finds motivation in collaborating with her colleagues, supervisors, and consultants, appreciating the passion everyone brings to their work at Vita Health. Lauren is particularly proud of recently completing a 56-hour Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Basic Training Course, a significant accomplishment that equips her to deliver evidence-based trauma therapy to her clients.
When asked what inspired her to pursue a career in mental health, Lauren reflected on a positive personal therapy experience she had as a teenager.
Lauren prioritizes self-care by scheduling daily walks in the morning, ensuring she maintains balance in her personal and professional life. “Taking that time for myself each day makes a big difference,” she explained.
Lauren’s dedication to learning, compassionate care, and teamwork make her an invaluable part of the Vita Health team. Thank you, Lauren, for your incredible contributions!
