Psychology Today

I believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a more balanced and fulfilling life if they so desire, especially those living with mental illness. I focus on what you are experiencing and the impact on your daily life — not on labels or specific diagnoses.

Together we will work to create a safe environment — so you feel respected, supported and open. Then we'll work together to identify treatment goals and develop the skills you need to achieve them!

I'm practicing through Vita Health. Our mental health practice includes online psychiatry, mental health therapy, and care for patients who have suicidal thoughts and behaviors. I also specialize in trauma, personality, and mood disorders and I have experience working with Veterans. I’m licensed to see patients in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.

Psychology on the past

My name is Tara Watts, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania. I have over 20 years of experience working as a clinician, working with individuals, couples, and families. I have worked with clients of varying ages with a broad range of concerns including, support for people living with ADHD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and parenting challenges, this includes people who have trauma histories. My therapeutic approach is strength-based, person-centered, solution-focused, and trauma-informed using primarily cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques.

I am also committed to continuous education, as I strive to remain consistent with best practices. I strive to meet you where you are and work together to set goals and develop a plan that targets your needs.

I tend to focus on what you are experiencing and the impact on your daily life, not on labels or specific diagnoses; although, diagnosis may be relevant to providing the best care. I understand how labels can be debilitating, but with the right approach, you can experience growth, change, and success.
