Our diverse team of licensed clinicians are specialized in suicide intervention and care. They possess a wide range of expertise in treating suicide co-morbidities such as stress, depression, anxiety, trauma as well as PTSD, and relationship problems, and challenges related to sexuality, gender identity and discrimination.

By assisting patients in cognitive restructuring and the regulation of emotional distress, we equip them with the skills to manage suicidal crisis behavior, and promote wellbeing. Our goal is always to improve quality of life. Our care promotes wellbeing, improves quality of life, and facilitates an individual’s ability to engage in longer term, general psychotherapy.

Your Program

Together with your therapist, you will develop a treatment plan to help you reach your goals. Within 12 individual sessions, your therapist will help you to recognize negative and unhelpful behaviors, build and practice positive habits, develop coping techniques for stress, practice relaxation, and improve your sleep.

App Support

Our companion app holds a range of resources, personal stories, and tools to support you in managing your emotions and reduce feelings of depression, hopelessness, and suicidal ideation. Guiding behavior change and cognitive restructuring, it supports you in the regular practice of skills, and includes a personalized crisis response plan.

SUICIDE RISK REDUCTIONYouth Nominated Support

Vita Health’s Youth Nominated Support Team (YST) is designed for adolescents between 12-18 years and is shown to be 99% effective at preventing suicide death.1

Youth identify caring adults who receive psychoeducational coaching and resources to support them1

Caring Adults

Youth attend a virtual session to nominate two to four “caring adults” (with guardian approval).

Training

Caring adults meet weekly with YST specialists to learn about the individual’s difficulties and risk factors, as well as the best way to promote positive choices that reduce suicide risk.

Connection

Nominees connect with the adolescent regularly for three months to support problem solving, coping strategies, and resiliency initiatives.
