Improving mental health together

Expanding access to fast, convenient, preventative mental health care, and suicide intervention.

We enable individuals to thrive at home, at work, and in school.

To Create a World Without Suicide

Our Inception

Based on a shared vision to end suicide in the United States, a team of leading suicide prevention experts from major national universities united to create a solution. A national crisis on a negative trajectory, existing suicide treatments were failing to reduce preventable deaths. Knowing a proven solution existed, they translated academic research into a clinically validated treatment for suicide risk reduction. Vita Health was founded in 2021 as their mission to provide an effective, accessible service for those in crisis.

Our Why

A leading cause of death in the US, suicide claims 132 lives daily, with 1.7 million attempts each year.

Deaths by suicide continue to increase year after year, and Vita Health is changing that trajectory. People experiencing suicidal thoughts or behaviors, and those around them, are in a very vulnerable and frightening period, with few resources on what to do, or how to get care. We provide the solution.

“You change one life, you change the world.”

Our clinically validated approach and tailored interventions have been proven to reduce suicide attempts by over 60% and deaths by more than 80%, not only saving lives but reducing the impact of loss on those left behind.

“Every patient that we treat provides these unsolicited, heart moving testimonials about how we have changed and saved their life. That is the fuel that brings our whole team to work every day.”

– Tracy Brubaker, COO

Our Journey

From its inception, Vita Health has focused on delivering acute, virtual behavioral health services specializing in suicide care.

Pioneering a unique model that combines teletherapy and psychiatry, to offer convenient, at-home mental health support nationally.

By partnering with national payers, providers, employers, and leading universities, we have now expanded our reach and impact, providing timely, effective care to those in need.

Our Future

It is now our aim to reach even more individuals struggling with suicidality and other mental health conditions.

We are working to expand our partnerships with healthcare providers, educational institutions, and the Veterans Administration to ensure that those who need our care can access it promptly. Our goal is to continue reducing suicide rates and improving the quality of life for our patients, while furthering our services in acute areas of need.

We have only begun to scratch the surface of the population of patients that need our help.

We will work relentlessly to expand access to Vita’s services to all those who need them.
